For those that know me, this blog will be a relief. I have spent the past 15 years or so telling my friends and family everything I know about the subway. Now that I can yell it out into the void of the internet, I no longer have to bug my friends about abandoned stations, deinterlining, or how Franklin D. Roosevelt was president the last time anyone enjoyed rapid transit in New York. To my fellow subway buffs, I’m sure you understand me, even if you don’t know me. I hope this blog will be a useful resource for anyone with even a passing interest in the subway, and make those who feel like the subway is something to be endured begin to appreciate the decades of history that pass by their subway windows on their way to work.
